Steve Elkins started out as an earth scientist, then became an educator, petroleum engineer, entrepreneur, cinematographer, and finally an explorer. He has received many accolades for his pursuit of a legendary lost city and his discoveries in the Mosquitia jungle of Honduras as well as his cinematography career. He is also an Explorers Club Fellow who was honored as a Leading Global Thinker by Foreign Policy Magazine.
