Raquel Pinderhughes, Ph.D., Professor and Chair of Urban Studies and Planning at San Francisco State, is a leading activist scholar focused on improving the lives of low-income people and inner-city communities. She has directed urban and environmental education programs for incarcerated and re-entry populations and green job training and education programs for low-income populations throughout the country, and published many highly influential papers and curricula, including “Roots of Success” used in 35+ states and internationally.
