Florence Reed, a former Peace Corps Volunteer in Panama, founded Sustainable Harvest International (SHI) in 1997 and serves as its President. SHI’s mission is to stop deforestation and to preserve the environment by partnering with rural families in several Central American countries to improve their wellbeing through sustainable farming.
